Car lovers have turned to internet sleuths to try to get to the bottom of who owns a Bentley Continental GT sports coupe abandoned in India.
While most of us could only dream of owning such a high-end car, it seems not everyone is as enthusiastic – with the car being abandoned under what appears to be a flyover in Mumbai.
The 2004 Bentley CGT two-door sports coupe features a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 engine that generates 552 horsepower.
The beefy engine can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds and has a top speed of 318 km/h.

The Bentley CGT appears to be completely abandoned
So all in all, the car is more than a little bit special, which really makes us question why it would be left out to gather dust and rust.
And that is the question on the minds of car lovers across the globe, after the Instagram account Auto Luxury in India, shared some snaps of the two-tone Bentley with the caption: “A Bentley CGT in a sad state…”
Car fans have piled into the comment section to question why it was left and who by.
Some suggested the car belonged to a Malayalam film producer who is known for having an envy-inducing car collection.
However, the plot thickened when the team from cartoq.com did some digging into the car’s ownership and found that it was currently registered under a different name.
Cars are abandoned more than you’d think
Of course, it could be the case that it did belong to the producer at some point and was later sold but that still doesn’t explain why the stunning motor has been left at the roadside.
Expensive cars being abandoned and forgotten about happens more than you’d think.
A collection of 230 classic cars – including rare Ferraris – were found in a barn earlier this year.
The super-sized collection of rusting motors was spread across three warehouses and even a desecrated church by a Dutch businessman who clearly wanted to keep his cars a secret.
And over in Texas, a man discovered a 1980 Rolls-Royce Silver Wraith II that had been sitting in a garage for more than two decades.
Why can’t we ever find anything like this?
